President Comte cheese (Fresh)

Thanks to its melting properties, this versatile cheese can be used in everything from fondue to grilled cheese sandwiches. Comté is ideal for cooking—try it in macaroni and cheese. Its fairly firm texture allows it to be grated, sliced, or cut into cubes.

Pair with red wines from the Rhône Valley, a Palo Cortado or dry Amontillado sherry from Spain, or white wines with notes of dried fruit and spices. Comté also pairs well with young red wines and Champagne.

This is a cooked, pressed cheese made from raw milk. It is aged in maturation cellars for at least six months. Comté is the number one PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) cheese consumed in France.250g
