Tentation de Saint-Felicien Triple Cream Cheese

France

“Tentation” means Temptation in French and once you lay eyes on this luxurious, ultra-creamy cheese, you’ll understand why.
Crafted in 1992 by La Fromagerie de l’Étoile du Vercors near Grenoble, at the foot of the French Alps, Tentation de Saint-Félicien is a triple cream version of the beloved Saint-Félicien. Thanks to the added cream, it reaches an indulgent 70% fat content, resulting in a decadently rich, buttery texture.

Made from fresh cow’s milk collected every two days from nearby farms, this cheese is produced using the traditional ladle molding method (moulage à la louche), where curds are gently hand-ladled into small molds (faisselles) before aging for up to two weeks.
Its delicate, wrinkled rind hints at the velvety interior that awaits: a luscious, mousse-like paste with a subtle aroma of fresh mushrooms. On the palate, it's mild, milky, and beautifully balanced, never overpowering, just pure, smooth pleasure.
Perfect served on a crusty baguette, paired with ripe berries, or simply enjoyed by the spoonful. 6 Oz / 170g
Pair it with: Sparkling wine, Chablis, Riesling or Pinot Noir.
