16 Assorted Mini Vol Au Vent
France
“Vol au Vent,” – literally translated as windblown – is a pastry style known for its airy lightness. Our French-made set of 16 features two savory fillings: escargot with garlic and parsley butter, and scallops cooked in Riesling wine. These delicious bite-sized appetizers make for elegant hors d'oeuvres or tasty sides to elevate your home dinners. Just heat and serve!
While this French dish is traditionally prepared in a larger serving, these bite-sized Vol au Vent serve as elegant finger foods to enjoy during get-togethers or even alone with some wine.
This elegant appetizer can be ready in just minutes. 12 to 15 minutes in the oven is all they need to be ready to serve!
Allergens: Contains wheat, milk, eggs, celery, shellfish.
I must say that I was scared to try this product, because the dough is the key element. Thankfully my first bite reassured me, the dough being both crispy and flaky, like it is done in France.
My only suggestion would be to make this food at an "eating" size, and not only as an appetizer. I dream to eat vol-au-vents stuffed with mushroom filling, and/or veal and porc, and served with a side of rice, like I did eat them in France for 30+ years. Maybe one day again in the US, thanks to Cuisinery Food Market?
This is another one of those that you keep going back for. Oh how many can I eat 😊😊😋😋
I pop these in to have a small bite with a glass of wine
I have bought them for Xmas. I was afraid that they would be soggy since they are already filled. They were delicious , I will definitely order them again.
I just received my order of 10 different products yesterday besides the mini vol au vent and I can hardly wait to enjoy them as I didn't have a chance yet to taste any of them but I will bet that they will taste as great as it looks! I had ate in the past other of their products and it was just delicious and I kept looking where I could get their products again and close to me and after searching I found out that they now have a store in Houston meaning very reasonable shipping charges within Texas. In the past I had to order from someone that carried their products in the West Coast but the shipping became ridiculously so very expensive. So, now I will be able to continue to order with very reasonable shipping charges and being able to now enjoy again those wonderful gourmet products on a regular basis!!! Also, when I called the store, the staff working at the store are very nice and very helpful!
