12 Calissons Provence Specialty. Extremely soft and melting, the Calisson is one of the oldest delicacies from sud of France. A skillful blend of almonds, candied melon, and honey, the traditional calisson paste is richly flavored, creating incomparable tastes: the subtle marriage between almonds and candied melon is enhanced with a hint of candied orange peel. The paste rests on a wafer-thin unleavened bread sheet and is adorned with a royal icing.

Ingredients:

Almonds, candied melon (melon, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity corrector E330, preservative E220), icing sugar, glucose syrup, invert syrup, candying syrup, potato starch, water, bitter almonds, egg albumin, sunflower oil, aroma. Possible traces of other nuts.
