Frangipane Almond King Cake

A cherished cake enjoyed during the Epiphany festivities, our Galette des Rois is handcrafted in France with premium ingredients and filled generously with a delightful almond cream filling known as frangipane. Each bite unveils a rich and comforting flavor profile, a perfect festive touch to your celebrations!

French tradition dictates the Galette des Rois as being baked with a figurine inside. From there, the cake is sliced and distributed randomly by the youngest attendee. Whoever receives the slice containing the figure becomes king/queen and gets to wear a crown for the night!

This cake includes a 1.5inch tall porcelain figure INSIDE THE CAKE to carry out the tradition! A crown is also included. Our new cake is LARGER than our last one at about an 11 inch diameter!

Baking Instructions:

Thaw the cake for about an hour and 15 minutes. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Bake the king cake for about 30-35 minutes at 400°F (200°C). Slice and serve, and make sure everyone knows of the possibility of a porcelain figure in their portion! Please note that these instructions are indicative, baking and temperature may depend on the type of oven used.

INGREDIENTS: Puff Pastry 61.5% : (Unbleached Wheat Flour, Butter (33%), Water Salt. Frangipane (37.5%) : Sugar, Egg, Blanched Almond Powder (20%), Butter (20%), Whole Milk, Rum, Wheat Starch, Orange Zest Infusion, Natural Flavor, Natural Vanilla Flavor. Eggwash (1%).

Contains wheat, milk, egg, tree nuts (almond). May contain soybeans and other tree nuts (hazelnuts, pecan nuts, pistachio nuts).
